It’s an alternative energy play where you’re looking at the bearings used for the wind turbines.  When you have your blades rotating, there is some created friction.  Using these bearings (by KDN) the efficiency of the turbines will increase.  This call is for FY 2009….But Jim repeats that “natural gas is the play for 2008″.  It was that these bearings are over ½ of the balance sheet (didn’t check this out….have some questions?)

If you’re looking at the structure of the blades (fiber) check out Owen Corning (ticker symbol OC).  For the turbines look at GE who was the OEM for Boone Pickens “wind farm”.   Emerson was also discussed when talking about wind turbines.

Hey….Swen66 is still working on the solar cell!  Oh, I saw on the way home from the golf course that gas was selling for $4.159 per gallon.  That’s sort of weird since the cost of a barrel of oil fell by over $3.31.   Will have to see how gas is selling in the morning.

I’m re-reading a book titled Citizen Perot.  Here in this book Ross was thinking about raising gas by 50 cents a gallon.  People thought he was nuts!  That would be ¼ for the price we are now paying.

J.C. likes NG (natural gas) and swen66 likes wind and/or solar.  What listed above is Jim Cramers call.
